not exactly salome playing the drum

…nor is it, exactly, Lissa playing the guitar. But there you are.
A conversation, some months back:
“We really need musical accompaniment,” Kate mused as we struggled with…oh, some song or other. Probably “Hire A Harlot,” which has been shelved indefinitely.
I nodded absently as I nibbled on my pen. “That would be nice.”
“I’d do it, but my instrument isn’t really portable,” she continued. “And electronic keyboards are frowned upon at Faire.”
“That’s true,” I murmured.
“I like Hope’s idea of playing the violin, but she can’t sing and play at the same time, and we need her voice too badly for harmonizing.”
“Uh huh.”
“So I think you need to learn the guitar.”
“Yeah, that – wait, what?”
And that is pretty much how this happened.

Dontcha just love it when you get volunteered for something? But I have faith in ya, so I’m looking forward to the performances when they happen
To be fair… you had been talking about wanting to learn guitar forever. I just gave you the motivation. And the guitar.
