everyone loves dream blogs, right? yay!

I don’t often have dreams I remember anymore, which is fine by me.
Yes, I know dreams are supposed to be a wonderful stimulus to creativity, but mine have always been just tremendously weird to me, so the less detail I remember, the happier I am.
Unfoooooooortunately my subconscious, apparently disgruntled about my foggy dream memory, has decided to amplify the most disturbing bits.
Like the dream where I dreamed I was in a big office room and the ceiling began to stretch and bulge in spots like a bad roof in a violent rainstorm. Only when I went to plug the incipient leaks with my finger, it wasn’t rain bowing in the ceiling, it was blood. Fun!
Or the dream where I was running around trying to get away from my ex, who was trying to win me back and was bewildered as to why I was terrified of the very sight of him. That one ended oddly when I escaped into a house and watched through louvered windows as a random and extremely violent snowstorm came through and obliterated some poor girl who had been standing there waving and grinning in the sun not ten seconds before. It also woke me up laughing because my brain broke and started looping “And then the SNOOOOOOOOW came down!” Which is a riff on a particularly hysterical Dylan Moran sketch that the OMGFriday gang loves to quote at each other.
And then there are my crashing airplane dreams, which I haven’t had in a while and only come around when I’m in a situation I need to get out of. I’m going to get a tattoo of a crashing plane to remind me, when I have those dreams, that I need to get out of whatever is making me anxious.
(normally there’s only ever one plane involved in the dream, but I had a few when I was with The Sociopath and EVERY TIME the dreams portrayed a veritable hailstorm of exploding and crashing aircraft, which REALLY should have been a freaking clue, you know?)
I’ve been having some freaky dreams lately since I began working through my sleep issues. It sort of makes me wonder why I was bothering to chase after sleep in the first place!

good lord woman. I hope that things get better here on out.
*hugs*
